Wow, what a pleasant surprise. My wife and I have been driving by their location as it is difficult to see from 1488 but once we walked in the door we were glad to have taken the time to find it.
We were greeted by a very staff who were proud to show us around and explain the venue. It was lunch so there was not a giant crowd but the place consumes an extremely large footprint on the shopping center. It features a well appointed bar with several dining areas, a separate ADULT Lounge where ankle-biters are not allowed complete with booths for dining and a huge outside patio with a special section for people who want to dine with their canine companions, now how cool is that?
The craft beer selection was outstanding and the food superb. Just writing about this place has convinced me that I am going back, today, for another great meal with some super special brews. -

I have now been here 4 times in the short time it has been open and have to say two things. ..... consistency of service and quality of food. They have still been under a soft open and taking their time for a grand opening which has really made sure that the menu and food delivered is top notch. At this point, I have had 3 different meals and dessert 3 times as well (have been for dessert without meal a once).
Hamburger is perfect...enough said, even for my fiancee who eats them well (I had some of hers and somehow they pulled off a well done burger). The club sandwich has been my favorite as someone went off menu and added onion and it was the best I have ever had..... which I've had a bunch of these in my years.
I ate the Citizens Chicken tonight and was blown away with the this dish. Chicken is easy for me, as I cook it alot. This also means I am picky about this dish and they delivered. They cook it well, but have a nice glaze over the top that with sundried tomatoes and some goat cheese. Had the asparagus as a side and it was cooked perfectly.
The best thing on this menu is the dessert, the chocolate cake now tops my list of best ever. I can't describe the feeling of pain you will endure from the locking of the jaw from just how sweet this piece of cake... word of caution, it takes at least two to tackle this dessert and will still need a to-go box. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant. I am hoping as they grow the menu, the consistency of service and quality of food still remain the same. -

First, let me say that it is very nice inside. I was with my two girls and we were dressed to go see fireworks and play in the park later that evening. Tshirts. Shorts, etc. I honestly felt a little under dressed, having said that, I felt more at ease when others were dressed as loosely casual. There is no dress code, but I would have felt more comfortable in a polo or nicer shirt.
The staff was very attentive. We sat at a high top, and although I have a rule about not sitting near the door, my attire stopped me from saying anything. I also felt that if I did, they would have honored my request.
We ordered some semi lite food to share. A caesar salad, fried calamari, an avacado BLT and an order of chicken tenders with jalapeno and bacon mac and cheese, and broccoli.
Sort of funny, my daughter has been eating fried calamari for years now thinking the tentacle portion was octopus. I thought she knew. So I told her what is was. Needless to say, she ended up eating my tenders as she says she likes octopus, but not squid. Anyway, both items were very good. I liked the mac and cheese but I felt the jalapeno overpowered the cheese flavor which I thought needed more of. I saw the bacon, I could not taste it though. I liked the jalapeno cream gravy, but I will try the regular white gravy next time. The tenders were great, any adult should like them. Perfectly cooked, juicy and tender.
The broccoli is served as a head of broccoli. Nicely cooked, slightly crispy with garlic over it. I liked the presentation, but I had some bad florets in where you would not seen it before serving. My daughter loved the avacado BLT. They also had real potato fries. I did not try them though. Honestly, if you leave there hungry, you did something wrong. It was tasty overall and portions were very good.
Lastly, we had BlackBerry cobbler and the fudge brownie to share between the three of us. I prefer the cobbler over the brownie for myself. Both portions were huge and we could not finish them.
Overall, 5 out of 5 stars for service, it was great. 4 out of 5 for food, the entrees were great, I will continue to research the sides. The cobbler was great, I did not care for the brownie, but that is me. I will go again, and hopefully soon. -

A hidden gem of a restaurant. Exceptional service, great healthy food, perfect family ambiance, and dogs are allowed on the patio. Watching the Astros beat the spankees to head to the World Series and TAKE IT BACK.
